Performers TOM MALOUF Vocals/Guitar
Inspired by the music of The Beatles and John Denver, Tom’s dream career (aside from playing shortstop for the Chicago White Sox) is to make music with people. In addition to Poems, Prayers, & Promises, Tom performs in Stuck in the 60’s for Life with his band Chunky Monkey and Celebrate the Season, a holiday sing-along that often includes his family. Tom is also a teacher at St. Francis High School in Wheaton, and the Music Director for St. Walter Church in Roselle.
Amy Malouf Piano/Vocals
Amy couldn't be more excited to be performing the music of John Denver alongside her dad and siblings. It is timeless music that has been instilled in her since she was a young girl. Amy is a professional musician and vocal instructor all around the Chicago area. Thank you so very much and enjoy the show!
Tommy Malouf Banjo/Mandolin/Vocals
Tommy is a teaching artist in the Chicagoland area. He is an actor in a few of the regional Chicago theatres, and he also teaches theatre part-time in the north shore area. Tommy has played with his father and family for as long as he can remember. Since first being brought on the stage he has learned several instruments, among them guitar, piano, bass, drums, banjo, and mandolin.
Beth Blankenship Vocals
In addition to performing with her husband, Brian, in the Americana music duo Tank & the Beez, Beth is a Board Certified Music Therapist, specialized in working with children and adults with disabilities. She is also a teacher for the internationally-recognized music program for young children, Music Together.
Brian "Tank" Blankenship Double Bass
In addition to performing with his wife, Beth, in the Americana music duo Tank & the Beez, Brian is active in the Chicago theatre community as a composer, music director, and musician. He maintains a day job in non-profit marketing and communications, and teaches private music lessons.
